Sr. Accounting Specialist

  • Spigen’s Sr. Accounting Specialist is responsible for complex clerical support, bookkeeping, accounting assignments, statements, and financial reports


Job Duties

  • Oversees general department systems, policies, practices, and procedures
  • Directs preparation of required financial reports
  • Improves and implements financial controls, ensuring accurate control and accounting of assets and accounts
  • Assists auditors, gathering and providing information and documents needed for inquiries
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, developments, and best practices in the accounting profession; applies this knowledge to recommend and implement process and policy changes
  • Initiates outgoing payments such as wire transfers, vendor checks, personal reimbursements, investment expenditure, etc
  • Reconciles bank accounts including undeposited funds
  • Manages invoices and ensures they are paid to date
  • Analyzes municipal bond investment and ensures loan investment generates return compared to capital expenditure
  • Summarizes receivables by maintaining invoice accounts. Verifies totals. Prepares and runs the accounts receivable aging report in SAP
  • Checks payment, personal reimbursement requests, and missing expenses every month
  • Reviews account payable aging report and ensures everything is correct
  • Other duties as assigned.


Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department and must be able to exercise discretion and independent judgment with little supervision in procedural matters



  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Accounting Software (SAP).
  • Advanced knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, or related software.


Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position over 70% of the time and constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with business partners and employees who have inquiries about Finance issues. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations



  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Economy or related field
  • 0-5 years of professional experience related to Accounting
  • Bilingual in English/Korean preferred

Work Hours

  • 8 AM – 5 PM
  • Monday – Friday
